Client: Nativity of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church
This volunteer project was created for Nativity of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church's building capital campaign. The campaign was launched in May 2026. So far, it has raised 1.3 million dollars towards the overall project goal of 3.75 million dollars. The campaign name, tagline, materials, folder layout, and text were all created by me, with feedback from the capital campaign team.
Nativity was established in 1981 in Charlotte, NC and it remains the only OCA (Orthodox Church in America) parish that has services completely in English. The leadership at Nativity decided it was time that the parish had outgrown its humble beginnings and began to fundraise for a proper building.
The name of the campaign, Building Upon Blessings, was chosen to highlight the desire of its leadership and members to be good stewards of the many blessings they have by building a church that will serve the Charlotte community for generations to come.
The tagline, "With God. With People. With Joy" takes inspiration from 2 Corinthians 6:1. It also recognizes the collective effort required to have a successful building campaign.
These folders were distributed to parish members and other prospective donors. They contain 4 waterfall-style pages of information on the church and building campaign, a business card, a pledge card, a brochure on giving, a letter from the parish rector,, and envelopes for donations and completed pledge cards. This folder was also converted to a digital format to share online.
